This guide has enough information for a perfect accomplishment of your wedding. We suggest read it carefully. |

RESERVATION
May be done one year before.
Weddings are celebrated from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30 pm and 8.00 pm. On Saturdays at 11 am, 1.00 pm, 5.00 pm, 6.30 pm and 8.00 pm.
OBS: The fee for the use of the Church building and the Church hall does not include the right to alter or reposition any item of furniture or effects. |
DOCUMENTS TO BE PRESENTED
a) fill out and sign the registration form from the Church
b) present identity document
c) present baptism certificate
d) present civil marriage documentation
e) list of the professional people (photo, video, decoration, choir, etc) hired for the cerimony |
REQUIREMENTS
1. FOR CELEBRATION WITH ANGLICAN MINISTER
1.1 SINGLES
The couple is required to attend the services in our Church during 10 Sundays prior to the wedding. The intention is to stress the spiritual side of love as well as make them familiar with our Church.
1.2 DIVORCED: (one or both)
Must attend Chuch services during a whole year in order to meet the Laws of the Anglican Church.
2. CELEBRATION BY A PRIEST OR ANOTHER CHRISTIAN CHURCH:
2.1 It is permited to invite a Priest from another denomination to perform the wedding. However, this Minister must belong to a Christian Church member of the CONIC - National Council of Christian Churches, and the wedding must follow the rites of his Church.
CONIC members are:
- Anglican Episcopal Church in Brazil
- Roman Catholic Apostolic Church
- Evangelic Church of Luteran Confession in Brazil
- Methodist Church in Brazil
- United Presbiterian Church
- Sirian Orthodox Church in Brazil
- Reformed Christian Church

RELIGIOUS AND CIVIL MARRIAGE
According to Federal Law 6015/73 the Minister performing the religious marriage can also perform the civil one if that is the wish of the couple. |
CHURCH HALL:
Since our Church is located at Z1 - strictly residential - the Church Hall might be used only up to 10pm, not later. |
OTHER RULES
- In order to ensure that your wedding will be performed in a proper manner, we ask the couple to be at Church on time. If that should not be the case, the ceremony will be shortened to compensate for the delay. Please state in your invitation the time as being 15 minutes previous to the fixed time in the Church.
- Groom, best men and maids of honor should arrive 30 minutes before the time arranged to ensure a better organisation of the ceremony.
- In case of cancellation of a wedding, the reservation fee will only be returned if another wedding takes place at the same date and time.
- Referring to decoration, in cases were there are two or more weddings on the same date, brides and grooms should divide the expenses among them. Those who confirm the date after the first couple should contact them regarding the cost of decoration.

The wedding hired in this Cathedral will be published, for free, in our Site: www.catedral-anglicana.org.br (page Casamentos agendados in portuguese).
The message is standardized, but it can bring any content desired by the couple (photo of couple, location of the party, roll of gifts, etc). For that, it´s enough to ask for the inclusion of the information during the direct hire or by means of the contract form. It is also possible to include information at later time by e-mail to the webmaster of this site. |
