Parish Lunch June 03, 08
A Parish Lunch will be held after the 10 o'clock service on Sunday, 15th June, when Bishop Roger will talk about the forthcoming Lambeth Conference. Please bring a plate of preferably cold food and/or dessert to be placed on the communal table. Plates, cutlery and soft drinks will be provided. Donations of wine will be gratefully accepted.
Extraordinary General Meeting May 10, 08
As there was not a quorum for the Extraordinary General Meeting called for Wednesday, 16th April 2008, and in accordance with the announcement for that meeting, the Extraordinary General Meeting will be held on Friday, 16th May 2008, at 19:00, when a quorum will be formed by those present. Our present Statutes state that the Church exists for religious and philanthropic purposes. According to the current Brazilian law, we can be either a religious or a philanthropic entity, but not both. There is specific legislation for each type of entity which conflicts with one another. The alteration that is being proposed is that St. Paul’s Anglican Episcopal Church is a religious organization.
Clothing sale May 08, 08
The annual Clothing Sale, run by the Women's Association, will take place in the Church Hall on Friday, 9th May from 8.00 to 17.00 and Saturday, 10th May from 8.00 to 12.00. Without clothes, we cannot have a Clothing Sale! We would be grateful if you could go through your wardrobes, separate those clothes that you no longer want and bring them to the Church. Clothes that are no longer in good shape may be handed in separately to the Church Office for distribution to those in need. Thank you.
New mission statement May 07, 08
The following mission statement was presented by Dean Aldo at the Annual General Meeting on 16th April 2008: "The mission of St. Paul's Anglican Cathedral is to proclaim Jesus Christ, the Son of God, to be the way, the truth and the life, in an inclusive manner through teaching and living the Anglican way, seeking always to practice love and charity to those less fortunate".
